How can the programming at art house theaters and film festivals better reflect the diverse audiences, makers, and stories in our communities? This discussion will use case studies to examine the relationship between race, ethnicity, and the many factors that impact workplace culture; it will consider filmmaker identities, representation, audience (existing or desired), and staffing (who curates and for whom?). After the panel, continue the conversation in a workshop hosted by Alliance for Action.
