Steve Herring has served as the CEO of Living Room Theaters since 2013 and has been involved with LRT's first theater location in Portland since its opening in December of 2006. In 2010, Steve helped to open LRT's second location in Boca Raton, FL in a one-of-a-kind public/private partnership with Florida Atlantic University. During LRT's starting years, Steve spearheaded the effort to create Proludio and the company's own proprietary digital playback system that is now in use at over 50 Arthouse locations across the US.
Prior to Living Room Theaters, Steve was a filmmaker having spent time in many crew capacities including Producer, Cinematographer, Editor, Location Sound Recorder, Post-Production Supervisor, Grip and Gaffer. Outside of work, he enjoys playing pool, traveling, and spending time with his husband Zackery.
